Terms of Service

Last updated: March 30, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jam (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Jam is a collaborative cloud coding platform that allows multiple users to share a real-time terminal session powered by Claude (an AI assistant by Anthropic). Users bring their own Anthropic API keys to interact with Claude.

3. Your Account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any API keys you use with the Service.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or in sessions you create.

4. API Keys and Third-Party Services

Jam operates on a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model. You are responsible for your Anthropic API key and any charges incurred through its use. Jam does not store your API keys.

Your use of third-party services (Anthropic, E2B) through Jam is subject to those providers’ respective terms of service and usage policies.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all code, files, and content you create during Jam sessions (“User Content”). By using the Share feature, you grant Jam a non-exclusive license to host and display your shared content via project pages and preview URLs.

You are solely responsible for your User Content, including ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users’ sessions
  • Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute malicious code or content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission

7. Collaborative Sessions

When you invite others to a session, all participants share the same terminal environment and can see all input and output. You are responsible for who you invite. Exercise caution when sharing sessions that may contain sensitive information.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Session sandboxes are ephemeral and may be terminated after periods of inactivity. We are not responsible for any data loss from sandbox termination.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jam and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
